What's on your TV?

Hubby and I enjoy what we call our movie and series date nights. These always happen on weekends. We would devour all the hours that we have just to be in our comfy house clothes and stuck to our bed (and sometimes we're both TOO lazy to take a shower that we need to play rock-paper-scissors to decide who goes first).

Unlike other people, we don't download as soon as the episodes air in the States. We prefer letting the season end and then, we start to download. That's hubby's job not mine. Marathon watching is more fun, right?

So here are our 5 favorite series in no particular order:

It's hard to rank these shows, I'm telling you. But if I were to choose just one series to keep, it would be The Big Bang Theory...or wait, maybe The Walking Dead. See, I'm all torn! Watching these TV series has become one of our beloved bonding moments. The world seems to stop when we're together engaged in our series marathons. As I always say -don't let sweet moments pass you by. LaBM.

Happy Birthday, my Love

Hubby and I flew to the Queen of South to celebrate his 31st birthday. We're both 31 this year. I'm turning 31 this November though. It was a fun & adventure-filled trip for us. We spent our first night at Crown Regency to experience the Sky Extreme Adventure activities they offer, second night at a cozy inn (Robe's Pension House) and our last night at a posh hotel in Mactan (Be Resorts). We were supposed to be on the island of Bantayan on his birthday but thanks to Typhoon Mina, all boat trips were cancelled due to strong winds  and huge waves along the Visayan Sea. We tried to get a room at Plantation Bay but luck was still not on our side. Good thing Be Resorts had available rooms. We're quite satisfied with our stay there; that 8-hour road trip to and from Hagnaya Port was replaced with comfort and relaxation at the hotel.

Here are some photos taken during our Cebu trip:

Happy Birthday, hubby! Hope you liked my gift!

Extra! Extra!
My girlfriends (plus one boyfie) flew in on our second day, his birthday.

Thanks to our Ninong Jim and Ninang Shee for helping us
with our Crown booking!

Now, it's my turn in a few months...woohoo! Where to for my 13th birthday? LaBM.

Home Work Space

As of writing this blog, my hubby is still asleep in our bedroom. He works at night and I, on the other hand, work while the sun is up. It used to be complicated.

I am so maarte when it comes to my sleep. You can read how I can be a real SLEEP DIVA  on my other blog. I didn't think it would work out for us. But with patience, endurance and understanding, I've learned to adjust to the new setup presented to me.

Just recently, we've moved our desktop computer to the guest room (where I am now) in the house. Little by little, this room will be our work space, our home office. I'm still researching on how we can maximize the whole space. I want to put a book shelf with all our favorite books placed nicely in categories, of course. I also want to add some charming pieces like cute boxes, a vintage flower vase, photo frames, fresh flowers, etc. I'm getting excited just by enumerating the pieces!

Take a look at my pegs for our small home office:

How lovely! I want my own work space at home to be like this- so shabby chic!
But I know hubby won't allow it!

This one is nice, too! But way too modern and perfect for my taste.

This one will probably work for us. The whole look is a combination
of His & Hers. The black furniture would be hubby's pick and the wall decor and details are mine.

Time check. It's almost his wake up time now. This wife has to be beside him when he opens his eyes. Later! LaBM.

30 and Ready

It's been weeks that I'm obsessing on anti-aging products. It all started one lovely day. I was doing my daily beauty routines in front of the mirror. I smiled (that's how much I love myself) and then they just came out - the expression folds. They are not even fine lines...yet. I know, you would say, "Of course, you'd have skin folds when you smile!" Well, shoot me. I'm paranoid. I'm 30 and have all the right and reasons to be.

I'm using preventive anti-aging products now. Hubby doesn't understand it AT ALL. I always tell him, "Love, it's never too early to use anti-aging products." He's very supportive though. He was with me when I bought the first batch of my new 'friends'.

But these are my favorites:

Avène is really an expert in dermatology.  The company is a leading skin care line in Europe.
I'm not sure if they sell this here. I got mine abroad.  It's a bit pricey though.

I've always been a VMV user. I love their Re-Everything product line.
This cleansing cream gives me that baby skin feel after washing.
I don't like pretentious skin care products. I only stick to those with skin care history.

Belo Essentials SunExpert cream. Local and proud.
It's way cheaper than Armada but just as effective.
I never leave home without this especially if my sun exposure is high.

So, there you go, my love affair with anti-aging products. If you're 30 and up like me, you should start your research on the best skincare line in the market. Invest on your skin. LaBM

Shooting Angels

Having an infant or a toddler as our model has nothing but cuteness from start to end. We  just love meeting adorable earth angels during a shoot. Here are some of our favorite models:

The gentle baby boy named Vin with his lawyer parents

The adorable Yumi Solenn

Double the fun with the Agtarap twins, Joaquin and Basti

Oh, we can't wait to have kids of our own. We'll definitely overuse our cameras just for them. In the meantime, we are happy to have our youngest clients. :) LaBM.
