Dressy

I love fashion. All my friends know that. My mom has always been my biggest influence. "You should always be unique in fashion," she always says.

So, in choosing the design for my gown, I've made sure to put my personality and style into it. It has to be classy but not traditional. It should still be FUN. Hence, the frou-frou!

Likewise, I want my female entourage to wear beautiful and non-traditional designs. Choosing the designs was difficult. I've spent days hopping from one site to another. However, I think, I did pretty well.

The Preps Have Begun

We had agreed even before we got engaged that we would have a destination wedding. What has been making our preparation period a fun bonding opportunity is that we share the same ideas for our BIG day. We want it somewhere outside the city with only our families, relatives and closest friends as our witnesses. We don't want a big church wedding. We want it very simple but LOVELY.

We are happy with the ceremony and reception sites that we have chosen. We are getting married at Chapel on the Hill in Batulao (Nasugbu), Batangas. The chapel has a very calming ambiance. We both fell in love with its unique circular floor plan and the 360-degree view of the green surroundings outside. For our reception site, we have handpicked Splendido Taal among our four choices. It's a romantic venue for weddings. It also has a vineyard feel, which I like.

Chapel on the Hill is where we want to be proclaimed Mr. and Mrs. Bernardez and Splendido is just the perfect setting to celebrate the union that we will soon make.

You may be wondering what our theme is. We are going for the Vintage Vineyard theme. I just hope we can pull it off. Wish the bride great luck!

Sweet Proposals

After almost 10 months of sweet loving, Jeffy and Aui got ENGAGED!
For us, it didn't only happen once but twice.

Our first engagement came on my birthday last year in Tagaytay. My love wore this HEIRLOOM piece of jewelry (his mom's beautiful ring) on my finger a few minutes before  'Aui day' expired. Just when I thought 'Aui day' was over, he got something inside his pocket and with a cute, shy voice he said, "Will you marry me?" I never thought I would experience saying YES. It was a very special moment for the two of us. I've never felt so  loved in my entire life. And on the side, he posted this on my Facebook wall...for 25 coins through FB BuddyPoke. He is just the sweetest!

Our second engagement happened a week after, still in Tagaytay, during my (soon-to-be) mom-in-law's birthday celebration. We were just playing this fun Pinoy Henyo game when a small piece of paper with the words ENGAGEMENT RING was placed on my forehead. The next thing I knew, my man was down on one knee asking me to marry him again. We had his family and relatives as our witnesses.

Our matchmaker, Dang

We are blessed to have each other.
What we have is a HAPPY LOVE.

We just can't wait to start our journey together.

P.S. And yes, you guessed it right. It will be a Tagaytay wedding.
