25 days

December 5, 2010

I always dread going to Divisoria. I'm not a fan. I only go there with my Mom because I know she can take my tantrums and my fussiness. Last Sunday, Jeff and I went there to buy some stuff for my veil (my Mom will make my bridal veil, the ceremony cord & veil), our favors and reception table centerpieces. Of course, we asked Mom to accompany us. It was actually our second time  in Divisoria together. The first time was when we bought his studio lights within the vicinity. Mom was also with us that time.

She arrived at our meeting point half an hour before we got there. Upon taking Jones Bridge, I sent her an SMS saying that we were near. Lo and behold, she was on the side of the street near Binondo church, waiting with a parking slot reserved specially for us. Jeff was surprised to see her. Well, baby, that's how my Mom rolls!

It was a tough day for Jeff and me. It was too crowded and filthy on the streets and alleys that we walked through. People were shouting and pushing each other. But I was able to buy some items on my list at such bargain prices. Fine, I'm giving the devil his due. Thank goodness for Divisoria!

Super thanks to my Mom for being our pilot last Sunday. And, thanks Mommy, for understanding that I'm not the best companion in Divisoria. ;)
